Percentage is the most closely related knowledge of math and life in sixth grade: discounts, interest rates, scores are all it. This 100-question exercise covers percentage and score interoperability, percentage application questions, with answers, and must be practiced at the beginning of Xiaosheng.
The percentage looks simple, but it is actually the difficulty of the sixth grade: what is 50% × 50%? How about a 15% discount? Interest rates, discounts, percentages, and concentrations are all related to percentages. If “Unit 1” is wrong in the application question, the whole question is wrong.
Core Concept:
Percentage means that one number is a few percent of the other. “Find the percentage of a number” is multiplied; “Know what percentage of a number is, find this number” is divided. Key: Locate “Unit 1” first.
Common Question Templates
- Discount: current price = original price × discount (20% off = 80%);
- Increase/decrease by a few percent: change amount ÷ original amount;
- Concentration problem: solute ÷ solution × 100%;
- Interest: Principal x interest rate x time.
Error-prone alerts
① “Increase by a few percent” and “Is the original percentage” should not be confused; ② Discount is “current price ÷ original price”, not “how much cheaper”; ③ Percentage results should be marked with a % sign. After completing this 100 questions, the percentage will be cleared.
