Middle school English completion fill-in-the-blank answer skills and high-frequency vocabulary organization

📌 Xiaobian Guide· Editor: Teacher Li
Filling in the blanks is a problem type that opens the gap in junior high school English, and many students lose points and do not understand the context. This document organizes the five problem-solving skills and high-frequency logic words of the complete blank into a book, with the explanation of the example, and downloads the Word version for printing exercises.

Filling in the blanks generally accounts for 10-15 points in the junior high school English examination paper, which is second only to reading comprehension. It superficially examines words, and actually examines “the ability to read articles + vocabulary accumulation”, which is indispensable.

1. Read through before filling in the blanks

Many students get the questions and start filling in blanks, which is the biggest misunderstanding. Correct Practice: Read the full text (blank) the first time, and take 1 minute to understand the gist; read and fill it the second time; review the third time. Reading through allows you to “stand at the height of the full text” to see each empty.

2. The clues are hidden in the context

The answer to filling in the blank is not “guess”, it is “find”. The logical relationship between the upper and lower sentences and the front and back segments is a clue: when you see however, the front and back mean the opposite; when you see so, the front is the reason. Develop a habit of “crossing the line to find clues” when doing questions.

III. Phrase accumulation is hard work

Verb phrase resolution is a regular filling in the blank: give up/out/in/away/back, five phrases, five meanings. It is recommended to organize the high-frequency phrases in the junior high school three-year textbook into a table and memorize a group every day. The vocabulary has gone up, and filling in the blanks is naturally easy.

IV. Compilation of Wrong Questions

Don’t just write down the answer, write down the reason for each wrong question: Is it a word you don’t know? Is the logic incomprehensible? Is it an unfamiliar pairing? After classifying the statistics, you will find your own “exclusive weakness”, which is much more effective than blindly brushing questions.

This full version of Word contains a complete explanation of techniques and a high-frequency vocabulary. It is recommended to print it out and paste it in front of your desk, and pass it before the test.
