Vocabulary is the ceiling of English achievement. This document organizes 3,500 word memory methods, high-frequency phrases, root affixes, and phrases in one go. The full version of Word can be printed, which is suitable for high school third sprint and high school first and second.
“Forget the word” is a pain point for almost all English learners. The problem is not in memory, but in the method: scattered back, no review, no combination of context, naturally can not remember. With the right approach, 3,500 words can go through three rounds in three months.
One or three rounds of memory
The first round of heavy speed (once completed within 60 days, only the Chinese core meaning is recorded); the second round of heavy depth (40 days, learn the matching and usage); and the third round of re-examination (use real questions and reading tests to check for missing gaps). After three rounds, the vocabulary changed qualitatively.
2. The meaning of the word must be paid attention to
The vocabulary questions of the college entrance examination are becoming more and more familiar with the meaning of the words: run (management), work (work), mean (stingy), fine (fine). When memorizing words, don’t just remember the first meaning, but also mark the meaning of the usual exams.
III. Phrases are the lifeblood of complete blank filling
Complete and fill in a large number of verb phrases: give up/out/away/in/back, five words and five meanings. It is recommended to combine the phrases of common verbs (take, make, put, turn, get, break, come, look) into a table and solve them group by group.
IV. Consolidating Vocabulary with Reading
Read a short essay every day and circle out unknown words to find, remember, and use. Words encountered in reading are particularly hard to remember because of the context. After three months, you will find that many “memorized” words appear repeatedly in reading, and you can’t forget if you want to.
