Second-grade mathematics has shifted from oral calculation to vertical calculation, and digital alignment and carry-over abdication are two major difficulties. This 100-question vertical exercise specializes in training a writing specification for three-digit addition and subtraction, with answers, printed and used.
Vertical calculation seems simple, but it is the most easy problem type to lose points in the second grade: the digits are not aligned, the carry-over is forgotten, and the retirement point is no point. A negligent whole problem is wrong. This exercise is to help children practice their writing habits.
Vertical writing specifications
- Same digit alignment: one digit to one digit, ten digits to ten digits, hundred digits to hundred digits;
- The plus sign is written on the left of the second addition, and the horizontal line is drawn with a straightedge;
- Put “1” to write a little smaller, marked above the horizontal line;
- The abdication “point” is above the subtracted number, don’t forget to subtract it.
Practice Methods
Do 8 vertical questions every day. Requirements: first check whether the digits are aligned before calculating; use reverse arithmetic to check the calculation (subtraction test is used for addition, subtraction test is used for addition); correct and write the cause of the error with a red pen next to the wrong question. After three weeks, the vertical accuracy rate will increase significantly.
Error point reminder
① When the carry plus one digit is full, the ten digits should be added to the carry 1; ② when the abdication is subtracted, the dozens of digits are subtracted by 1, and then subtracted by 1; ③ Do not forget to write the number after the horizontal type. These details are repeatedly emphasized when practicing.
