When doing business, it is inevitable to send goods and freight. The freight transportation contract is the “amulet” of the logistics link: who is responsible for the damage of the goods, how to pay the freight, and how to compensate for the delay must be clearly written. This model freight contract is complete and can be used with information.
Freight transportation is the most dispute-prone part of the sales process: the goods are lost, damaged, delivered late, and the responsibility is unclear. Sign a freight contract with clear boundaries of responsibility and peace of mind for both parties.
I. Core Provisions
① Cargo information: the name, quantity, weight, and value are clearly written, and the value directly affects the compensation standard; ② Freight payment: prepayment or payment on arrival, when to pay, write clearly; ③ Loss liability: This is the most important clause – cargo damage and loss in transit, the carrier is in principle liable, except for force majeure and reasonable wear and tear; ④ Insurance: valuable goods are recommended to be insured, and who buys insurance and who pays for it is clearly written.
II. Pit Avoidance Reminder
Shipper: Do not verbally agree to “go with the car”, be sure to open the waybill/sign the contract; take the initiative to insure valuable goods, do not bet that “nothing will happen”. Carrier: Inspection at the time of pick-up (quantity, packaging, appearance), problems raised on the spot; delivery according to the agreed time, late payment of liquidated damages.
3. How to sign to be effective
The subject information of both parties is complete (business license/ID card); the contents of the contract are not illegal; signature and stamp + date. Keeping waybills, payment vouchers, communication records, and disputes are all evidence.
